 About conference
To meet the challenge brought about by the global financial crisis, major countries in the world adopted easy monetary policies and active financial policies to stimulate economic development. Given that China has successfully achieved a GDP growth of 8% in 2009, there is no doubt that the country will take the lead in economic revival. The United States, Japan and EU are also on the way toward recovery. World economy is expected to be back on track in 2010, and we will be facing a “post-crisis” era.
In the miserable fight against the financial crisis, China’s plastics industry began to understand the true meanings of “crisis” and “risk control”. In the post-crisis era, plastics industry will be faced by many tough challenges such as over capacity, trade protection, shrunk demands, etc. Besides, the inherent financial attribute of plastic goods will show itself at a faster pace, while plastic futures including LLDPE and PVC will further penetrate into the market with greater effects.
With this end in view, after the huge success in China Plastics Industry Conference (CPIC) 2009, Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) and China Petroleum & Chemical Industry Association (CPCIA) will jointly organize CPIC 2010 at New Century Hotel Hangzhou, China on May 26-27, 2010, so as to give full play to the strengths of capital market, facilitate in-depth integration of spots market and futures market, and accelerate sustainable and healthy development of plastics industry. On the background of macro economy at post-crisis era and new development and new changes in the plastics market, CIPC 2010 aims to provide a high-end platform for information exchange and communication to help manufacturers, traders and processors in up, middle and down streams of plastics industry analyze macro economy situation and industrial developing trends, grasp market trends of plastics and related products, and seek for an effective way to diversify market risks.
